How easy is it for international students to get jobs who want to study in Bournemouth university Vs Chester university in uk

Hello,

We asked Andyno, a current international student at the University of Chester, to provide some information which may be helpful to you.

Hi there,
I'm Andyno Akpanukoh, an MSc student in Public Health Nutrition at the University of Chester. As an international student, I shared similar concerns about job opportunities, but I have now gone ahead and taken on various paid and volunteering roles. That is why I can tell you that opportunities and support are available here, even for international students. You only have to be willing to take them.
The university provides support to help you earn while you study. The Careers and Employability team sends reminders about job openings and positions available within the university and the local community. I got my current role only by acting on one of those emails, which saved me the hassle of job hunting. Even better, they prepare you for these roles by reviewing your CV and giving you mock interviews if needed to ensure your readiness. If you are interested in volunteering, you can also engage in volunteering and mentoring opportunities within the local community. For instance, I was offered a volunteering role as a support staff member at a top high school in the UK. After only a few months of studies here, I gained relevant skills and enhanced my CV.
Regarding job concerns, I advise you to find the careers and employability team upon arrival. They will likely find you first, but you get a personalised head start when you seek them out and get “job ready” by refining and highlighting your skills and experiences. Here, all you need to do is be ready and willing, and with your question, I am sure you are!
Feel free to contact me on Unibuddy if you have any questions or want more information. Meanwhile, this is one of the roles I got at the university.

If you'd like to reach out to any of our students (including Andyno and other current international students) you can chat to them online on Unibuddy - https://www.chester.ac.uk/study/chat-to-student/

Best wishes,
Becky
