Strange thing....when I am back home (not at uni) I always take my shoes off, but in my uni house I seem to keep them on most of the time, can't really explain it......

off, shoes are very uncomfortable compared to shocks or feet.

I thought everyone would take them off when walking around the house, for the obvious reason of it being more comfy and so the carpet doesnt get dirty.

Im sure keeping your shoes and socks on for long periods would make your feet smell, as well as other things..

Wearing shoes in the house is disgusting. You tread through all sorts during the day, why on earth would you want to tread all that through your house? I can understand if you have tiled/wooden floors because you can wash those clean but I can't understand anyone wearing shoes on the carpet- it seems to defeat the object of both carpet and shoes. It particularly irritates me when people walk into your house and don't even think to ask if they can wear their shoes on your carpet (especially if they haven't wiped their feet), at least have the decency to offer to take them off.

I pull my shoes off as soon as i step in the front door! Can't stand wearing them inside.
I even struggle to wear cute slippers. They may look cute, but u can't beat going bare foot!

I let my friends keep their shoes on if they prefer, i just don't understand why they wud??

Maybe they just have v smelly feet, or WANT to get the carpet muddy!.... weirdos!
