im the same😭 y13 similar predicted and offer from kings for EandM but LSE and UCL rejected me which im gutted about also.

I have spoken to LSE students and from what they say is that reapplying is definitely an option for the best chances career wise. But nevertheless you'd be rejecting offers which in your situation are 2 top unis that both can lead you into the same positions as an LSE student with some extra work. That also doesnt mention the risk of potentionally not getting into LSE again in which you also might find yourself at unis below warwick and kings.

For myself I am just going to try forget about this until A levels are finished then I'll see.

Real ! God willing we’ll smash our exams and be able to decide what to do then. I feel like I’ve wasted time moping just because I really tried yk to be the perfect candidate for LSE. That’s why I got rejected from ucl as well my ps was very A&F tailored rather than the econ and business course I applied for.

Going to Warwick will still give you a great chance of breaking into finance. LSE is insanely competitive to get into. You could acheive 3 A*s and anyone who says you have a good chance at reapplying to LSE would be lying. Nothing can guarantee you a place or even give you a good chance at securing one. They turn down so many great applicants each year and I say this as an LSE student myself. Additionally, someone suggested that going to Warwick would mean you'd have to put extra work into getting to where you want career-wise. I completely disagree. Yes, there are more finance opportunities at LSE, but this is cancelled out by the fact that the degree is also way harder. So the 'extra work' you'll allegedly have to put into securing a job going to Warwick will be made up for the extra work you'll have to put into your degree at LSE.

hey, so I would definitely say it depends on how much you want to go to LSE. I know that quite a lot of people did reapply this year (2024 entry) and still got offers for a variety of courses even though they only just about met the requirements, so as long as you have a top notch personal statement I would say that you would still have a good chance to apply for a & f not too sure about econ though. But I would say that with top unis like LSE and Warwick, the difference is marginal, yes ofc if you want to work abroad then LSE will defo have better prospects since its more internationally known but if you are going to work in the uk then yeah the difference is minor. I totally agree with you, defo focus on exams and grind so you get the best possible grades so that you can decide what you want to after results. ngl don't stress too much about unis because I know right now it may seem like a really big deal but at the end it all works out!
