You will probably be given a chance to resit that exam in summer and your potential top score will be limited, but better check with your tutors.

Hi,
I would advise you to speak to your tutors and course leaders to get a clearer understanding of what would happen if you were to fail a module. You can also get further support from them to help you gain more confidence in the module instead of anticipation to fail, as I’m sure you want to pass! LJMU offers plenty of academic support so do utilise it. You could also speak to advice and wellbeing services if you were worried about your course. I’m assuming it would be standard practice that if you fail a module you’d be offered the chance to resit it after the year is over, but this would mean you would not graduate at the same time as your coursemates. It is important you speak to the relevant tutors and lecturers to understand the specific regulations and policies that your course at LJMU upholds regarding resitting and failing modules, Incase there is different practice.
Please do make an appointment with your academic mentor or a member of LJMU’s advice and wellbeing team.

Hey so how is the ug (hons) from LJMU graded? like 25% from level 5 and 75% from level 6? Do they give higher classification when you are 1% below the classification boundary but had high score for more than a half of your level 6 credits?
The best person to go to is your tutor as they may be able to organise a resit earlier before your visa expiry date.
I want to assure you though that you're not alone - this isn't an uncommon occurrence and your academic will work with them to make sure a resit is possible for them even with your visa in mind. Please feel free to also contact Student Advice and Wellbeing for support in the meantime until you get a chance to speak to an academic.
