Applying for an MSc in Clinical psychology as an international student

Which uni would offer the best accredited course in clinical psychology that's located in a relatively affordable area? Kent and Sussex have been in consideration but I'm open to others

You can't get accredited masters courses for clinical psych unless it is a conversion course. To be a qualified clinical psychologist you need to do a doctorate

Hi there

I am a final year law student studying at Kent, hopefully I can give you some insights into what it is like to study here.

Studying at Kent is a good option given the good work life balance. Not only do students have access to good levels of support during their studies. We also have a lot of time to spend on activities outside of our studies, for example, attending society events, doing volunteering work and maybe taking on a part time job.

There are wide range of accommodations available: whether that is on campus or off campus. The campus accommodation is really nice and I have lived here for 3 years (so if you have any specific questions about these, do feel free to ask). There are many different accommodation types, some are quite affordable and have inclusive meal plans. Overall, the facilities are well kept and maintained, there are also a wide range of food outlets on campus. Students living on campus also get gym memberships which I find quite good too. Here are a list of on campus accommodation prices: Accommodation prices - Accommodation - University of Kent.

I would really recommend attending our Open days if you get the chance to 🙂 Our next postgraduate open day will be the 6th July. Canterbury Open Day - What's on - University of Kent. It will give you a chance to explore the campus and ask any questions you may have in person. 🙂

I have also included some Information on the Clinical Psychology course, which may be useful for you: Clinical Psychology - MSc - Postgraduate courses - University of Kent.

I hope this helps.

Hey,

This was really nice of you! I went with Kent, got accepted and joining in September! Yaay.

My only challenge has been finding a student accommodation, the school's accommodation was quite on the higher side and I found a lot of the student villages booked out. I'd have preferred a living space with a rent of between 120- 150 pounds per week. If you have any leads do let me know

Hi @Geetu11 !

I unfortunately cannot advise on student accommodation outside of Kent as I live on Campus, but have passed this on to my colleagues, so will hopefully be able to get back to you,

I just wanted to say how happy I am that you decided on Kent, we are so excited to welcome you into the Kent family. If you have any questions as you prepare for student life, please do get back in touch!

I hope you have a wonderful time at Kent,
Gabby
