Postgraduate Loan and Placement

Hi,

I am looking to apply for a postgraduate loan for a 2 year full-time masters course with a placement year where the tuition fee will be payable entirely in the first year, as the second year is simply a placement and not taught.

My understanding is that for 2 year courses, the postgraduate loan is paid over the 2 year period, which would leave me having to find the extra money for the tuition fee in the first year.

Would you be able to let me know if this is correct, or if there is a way I could receive the full loan in the first year?

The course is MSc Software Engineering with Professional Placement at Kingston University London starting in the 24/25 academic year.

Thank you

Hi there,

With the Postgraduate funding we would pay it over the duration of the course. If you're doing a 2 year course then this would be over 6 payments.

We can not pay it all in one go unfortunately.

Thanks, Ross
