Exeter or Birmingham for Geography?

Hey everyone,

I'm torn between my offers from the University of Exeter and the University of Birmingham for a Geography (BSc) degree. Both seem like fantastic options, but I'm struggling to decide which one might be the better fit for me.

I'd love to hear from anyone with experience with either university's geography program. What are the strengths and weaknesses of each? Are there any standout features or opportunities that make one university stand out over the other?

Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hi @oriental-coffee,
I'd recommend looking at the different modules you can expect to study at both universities, as the geography course may have certain specialisms dependent on the lecturers that teach in the department and see which ones you prefer.
Also, its important to think about the universities as a whole and which city you would prefer to live in for 3 years.
Hope this helps!

Hi oriental-coffee,

I don’t personally know a lot about the Geography BSc course at Exeter, but we do have our unibuddy program where you can chat to a current student doing the course which might be helpful! - Click here
