University interview nerves

I have an interview coming up in the next few days and it's driving me crazy! What do you guys do to calm your nerves during the wait?

Prepare, take deep breaths, picture yourself getting into that uni and try focus on the present

Hi Shez2002,

University interviews are scary of course, but they aren't as intimidating as they seem! Those interviewing you want to see that you're passionate about wanting to study the course, so as long as you can show this, it will help the interview flow a lot better!

In terms of nerves, try to practice beforehand as much as you can. Whether that is with your friends, family or even speaking alone into a mirror! This will help you to prepare and be ready for some questions you may be asked.

Also, try to eat and rest well before the interview. You don't want to be low of energy and falling asleep while you're having questions directed at you.

Don't worry, once you're a few minutes into the interview, you'll naturally start to feel somewhat more relaxed and this will help you to loosen up, and the nerves will reduce. You will do just great!

All the best,

Also, what university is holding interviews NOW? The UCAS deadline for returning all offers was 16th May which was 4 days ago.
