Fine Art Lancaster University Accommodation

Quick question, I have firmed lancaster for september 24, i’ll be taking the fine art degree! Does anyone know what college most art students tend to go to?

Hi,

I'm a student at Lancaster University. There are no subject-preferred colleges. I struggled picking a college as I wasn't sure which was best for me. Although, being here now I can confidently tell you that the college you pick does not matter.

You might read that certain colleges are "party" colleges. This is not true.

I recommend picking a college in a location that you like. Also, I believe Fine Art is taught in the LICA building which is nearby to County College and Bowland College so I would recommend these colleges if you want to be nearby.

Hi Anon,
Congratulations on your fine art offer! At Lancaster the colleges aren't subject specific, which is really good as it means you get to meet and live with people studying a range of different subjects in your 1st year. The colleges located closest to the art building are county and Bowland college. Each college has its own unique personality and runs a range of different events throughout the year. I'd recommend looking at each colleges Instagram page to see what type of events they get up to and which you think your prefer.

I've firmed for design so will also be in the LICA building and I'm thinking of bowland college since it's closest but i don't think it matters too much
