Cognito- is it good for GCSEs

Guys what do u think
Personally I used cognito for like 2 years and was stuck on a low grade 5. So if anyone asks if I recommend it I wouldn't solely rely on it like I did before. PLS DONT RELY ON COGNITO ONLY. Many of the required practicals and small pieces of important info are missed out. IT is definitely a good website but should be used alongside other videos/resources.

For the sciences i think you should pretty much always be doing practice papers or questions and then go over content you lose big marks on.
If anyone here happens to be looking for a way to get specified science questions for each topic on AQA i found a great website

I used cognito videos to learn content and got a 9 in bio and chem, and 8 in physics and maths. I totally agree, it shouldn't be used as the only resource. It’s very important to be doing past papers and questions e.g physics and maths tutor. The cognito site also has questions by topic!

Hi those are really good grades- I am aiming high in specifically biology and chemistry but I always lose marks on questions for not answering how they expect u to, like what I am saying is right but not exactly what they want me to answer- do you have any advice for that?

Hi, what I do at a level is if I encounter a question I didn’t manage to answer properly how the mark scheme wanted, I write it down on a flashcards word for word and quiz myself on it frequently. You should use the specification to find exact definitions.

I would also recommend looking up model answers, you can use Biology with Olivia for this as she has model notes and answers for a cheap price. She also has a sample available on her website of these.

I don't use it as my main revision resource, it's good for cramming but I also use other resources such as PMT (tons of practice questions) for my revision and I'm on a 9-8
