Has anyone turned down an interview and regretted it

I applied for Oxford brooks and the morning of my interview I was so nervous I sent an email saying I chose another option. I said it purely out of panic and now I regret it because I didn’t even give that uni a chance

Universities aren’t trying to catch you out; they simply want to find great students who are the right fit. Interviewers expect nerves, and they’re there to get to know you.
