Foundation year advice

Current As student and the exam stress is giving me horrible horrible anxiety about my results.
I have 2A* 6A’s and a B at GCSE level, and I’m doing English Language, Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science at A level.

A levels is eating me alive 😭 I’m a nervous wreck about grades and I’ve genuinely lost all faith in myself. My dream was to go to the University of Warwick for CS, which is absurdly competitive, but I’ve read about their foundation year program and I need advice on

1) how hard would it be to get into ?
2) is it a good idea or should I apply for undergraduate instead ?

I'm so sorry you're stressed out and that nobody has answered your question yet.

I'll move this to Warwick University forum where you can likely get more answers.
I believe the foundation year at Warwick is for international fee paying students only.

Yup international student from Pakistan looking to apply to the UK

WWell if you look on their website it says its for students who are not able to take the qualifications required for entry due to their country's educational system being structured differently, and they do not consider students taking A-levels, IB etc.

They list As level entry requirements on the bottom of there page for international schools ?

AS levels are not the same as A-levels. Like the IB certificate thats for students whose countries educational systems end in the equivalent of the UK year 12 I.e. After AS levels, before the full A-levels are completed.

yes I was asking whether it would be better to apply for the foundation year after getting my As grades or go for an undergraduate instead

I suspect as you are able to continue to A-levels (as far as I can tell) you wouldn't be eligible. You may want to just contact Warwick directly to confirm if you are eligible.

If you're eligible then note the foundation year is not the "easy" option. You still need to pass - and do well in - more or less the same content in the foundation year in order to progress to the first year of the degree programme, and the foundation year is uncoupled so you need to apply again next year to it anyway.

You'd also be paying international student fees for the privilege of it. I can't really see any sense in doing that - you'd be better off just completing your A-levels and applying directly realistically even if you are eligible for the course, and I suspect you won't be regardless.
