What is Brunel uni classed as for student maintance?

Does anyone know what Brunel university gets in terms of student maintenance loans? I got told by sfe(student finance England) that Brunel is not in London and not classed as London, even tho it is in London. But I got a friend who went to Brunel and sfe paid her the London loans. Can anyone confirm which it is with them please?
I know Brunel is in Uxbridge which is in London, but I’m confused as to why sfe says they will pay outside of London but a friend got the living in London from sfe

Brunel London University is classed as a London university and you will be entitled to London weighting from SFE,

Is that what you personally got from sfe and the maintenance loan from sfe? Just wondered because when I spoke to sfe on the phone last week their exact words to me was “where’s Brunel?” And I said “Uxbridge, London” and their exact reply was “well according to our calculator we are calculating it from how far away from central London it is and it is 13 kilometres away from central London and that’s too far for us to give you the London weight in maintenance loans”
So I asked as I wanted to know whether you personally got the London maintenance loan from sfe for Brunel. And if sfe want to also tell me whether the person I spoke to (on the phone to sfe with the conversation above) is correct or not etc and why they’re saying Brunel not in London when even I know it’s in london

Based on that information it doesn't fall under the London rate, but the only way we will know for sure is if you make an application and the assessor will review this and confirm for definite.

How can that be when it is in London even my friends who went to the university and that campus got London rate. This is why this is not sitting right in my eyes.

The information you're giving us shows it doesn't fall under the postcode to get the London Rate, but as I said the best way to find out for definite is to apply first so the assessor's can then check this.

The thing is Claire and Calum and this is late. I will tell you now, Brunel university FALLS UNDER LONDON MAINTENANCE LOAN. Yes it does. On your SFE forms it says "Brunel university LONDON". If it does not why does it say LONDON? Secondly my maintenance loan is marked london wage and everyone I know who is in Brunel has London maintenance loan. The information from you guys is inconsistent guys. Just saying

Excuse me Jason but Brunel has only ONE campus and it is the one in WEST LONDON that you guys have on the SFE website address. Even on the SFE application it states Brunel university LONDON. Go look if you like. How many campus do you guys in SFE actually have registered on your website because it only has one address and that adress is in UXBRIDGE which is in the LONDON BOROUGH OF HILLINGDON I have told you guys that before on telephone and on here and you guys arguement is that. Then get it removed.
There are several thousand students I spoke to thoughout the year in different settings and all said they were only aware Brunel has one site and they all have London payment.
