How different will my sixth form experience be as a foster child?

Hi there,

Looking forward to sixth form after GCSEs, I've recently had a thought, that being how different will my sixth form experience be compared to other children? I am a foster child in the care of my local authority until I'm 18, I'll therefore be going through sixth form with my foster family.

I'm wondering on how different the experience will be for me compared to other students. How does the application process change? How will my sixth form support me? How will my social life be like?

Hoping to get some advice from here, my situation is a little unique so I thought that it would be best to ask the question myself instead of looking if anybody else has asked.

Looking forward to some discussion!

hey, i really don't think your experience will largely differ to any other student regardless of the type of family they grow up in. im sure your school will have a support system for you especially when it comes to UCAS and your uni application e.g extenuating circumstances which can make the uni process easier for you. don't worry you'll have a blast in year 12!
