In GCSE english literature do examiners recognise when a student has use less common quotes that are harder to analyse and reward this with more marks? rather than using the most basic and generic quotes.

They only care about the quality of your analysis. Just use the quotes that are most relevant to the question and offer oppurtunities for higher quality analysis, such as alternative interpretations and links to context. Don’t choose quotes based on if they’re generic or niche.

the mark scheme says to use 'judicious' quotes - so yh if u can back it up with good ideas and analysis thats perfect. But i think they might be more impressed if u use a quote that barely anyone else wouldve used cos it shows that u have a better understanding of different quotes and no just the generic ones.

You will be awarded equivalent marks as long as your quotes are relevant to the questions and your analysis is right.
