what’s the hype over med/dent in georgia?

hey was just wondering why i’m seeing so many people suddenly want to go to georgia for med/dent as i always thought it was kinda a random place? what’s all the hype? mb if it’s a dumb question 🚶*♀️

I have no idea if I’m being honest, I think that it might just be people who got rejected from med/dent school in the UK so they apply to these countries instead 🤷🏾*♀️.

I’ve heard that they have lower entry requirements but I have no idea.

Mainly because UK med/dent is so competitive and not all unis in Georgia have an admissions test (it’s usually the UCAT that makes ppls UK applications less strong) and Georgia has lower grade requirements so when people want to pursue medicine but don’t have the grades/ dont want to retake a levels/ don’t want to resit the UCAT then applying abroad is a popular option in these cases
