IMU Malaysia- PMS Route

Hello, everyone,

I am interested in applying as an international student for the MBBS (with PMS) programme at IMU Malaysia.

In this regard, I have the following queries and would appreciate your insights:-

1. What will be the process/criteria for being selected and moving ahead in the Partner Medical School (PMS) after Phase 1 in IMU Malaysia is completed?

2. After obtaining a medical degree from PMS, will I be eligible for higher specialist training equivalent to a native student, or will I still be considered under the international student category?

1)Please see the link below. You can contact IMU if you have further enquiry.

2) That depends on the medical school that you are matched to. It is very difficult to do house job in Ireland after graduation. For UK, you are treated the same way as local students for the foundation year jobs and further specialist training. The policy is of course subjected to change. For Australia and New Zealand, priority for specialist training is given to citizen and permanent residence followed by international graduates of Australian and New Zealand medical schools and lastly to those that qualify outside Australia.
