Yeah the thought of living in student halls is DAUNTING as a Muslim girl. I’m low-key so anxious about it. Which rooms did you pick btw (on the preference thing)? Xx

But I’m hopefully going to just join lots of societies esp ones with Muslim girlies so I can feel a little more comfortable and make friends easily haha

Hiya I hate to break it but I’ve changed my mind😭 results day wasn’t amazing so I got rejected from ucl and even though a remark will likely make my grade up in sha Allah (as it’s only a couple marks off) I’ve decided to confirm Warwick😭😭😭everything happens for a reason and I’m low-key more excited and comfortable about going to Warwick than London at this stage in my life… maybe for postgrad I’ll apply there !!
But congrats on getting in Xx I hope you really enjoy your time there !!

Aw I’m super glad you’ve found a more suitable option, but sad to have missed out on you😭😭 Ironically, I missed a grade off from my Warwick offer and chose to go UCL last minute😫

Ahahha I’m sorry but that’s actually made me laugh a bit😭. We both literally missed out from each other’s preferred unis😭 honestly Allah is the best of planners so I’m sure this is good for us both, even if we are annoyed about our grades.
Btw what degree are you doing at UCL now?

Same here, it’s all Allah (swt)’s will and I’m more than happy for it. I was originally in for Computer Science at Warwick but not getting it made me reevaluate and realise that I really didn’t want to study CS. So I’m now in for the Psychology course😋
And same here! I’d love to stay in touch hahah, what course have you chosen?

At UCL I had applied for history and at Warwick I’ve gone for history and politics.
I actually think Warwick was truly meant to be for me because I initially did get an offer from there, so for my firm I had to choose between UCL and Warwick and I was so stuck- they had the same grade requirements too! I ended up declining Warwick but here I am months later with a place for the exact same course, which miraculously reduced their requirements on results day so Alhamdulillah 🙏🏾.
I’m sure we’re both going to slay in sha Allah, and in the future, this results day craze will be a story for the grandkids. 😭🫶🏾
