Will I get asked in interviews about what was said in my references?

I know that if I write something in my PS then I might get asked to talk about it in the interview but is the same true for subject references? Eg. if I have asked my teacher to add extra info that I can't fit into my PS, will I get asked on this?

Never heard of anyone getting asked something that was mentioned in their academic reference but then again most people don't know theirs until after the UCAS cycle is complete. Or never. I assume interviewers only have access to the personal statement anyway.

Are you aware that very few Unis / courses actually interview?
