It's May and I still don't have accomodation for second year

How do I find a place to stay that isn't tooo pricey? I see a lot priced at £200 a week.

Hi @mandatory-witnes

I would say if you are renting privately, sometimes even a month before (depending on what city) you plan to move in can be a good time to start looking, as the landlord will be probably be looking for someone to move in as soon as if they are putting it out on the general market and not just for students.

I just did a blog post that has some good advice on websites to look at for finding accommodation and some useful tips. it may be worth a read 2nd and 3rd Year Accommodation at Kingston - The Student Room

I hope this helps

Hi there,
You're certainly not alone, I didn't sort most of my accommodation until late into the academic year for various reasons. In terms of price, I'd say search around and also, it's worth taking into account what that price includes. For example, does it include all bills (with no hidden costs)? If so, it's probably better value than somewhere less expensive that doesn't have bills included, even if it looks more pricey on first glance.

Hope this helps.
