What are the typical entry requirements for computer games design courses?

I can't seem to find solid answers for this but some universities also seem to not specify.

Most unis have the same entry requirements for all their computer courses so you will find courses ranging from all A's to all C's. There are not many with specific games related ones but Keele has one with BBB entry.

There aren't many universities that offer dedicated Computer Game Dev courses (and many that do are along the lines of animation and visual design), but from what I can see browsing UCAS, most tend to have grade requirements between ABB-BCC, though it varies from uni to uni.

Hi there, here at Suffolk, the entry requirements for BSc (Hons) Game Development are 112 UCAS tariff points, or BBC at A-Level, you can find out more information here if interested: https://www.uos.ac.uk/study/bsc-games-development/

In general though, universities will differ in terms of the entry requirements that they ask for, so when applying be sure to spread your choices out to cover these if you are unsure of what grades you might achieve. 🙂

Quite a few don't seem to require any specific subjects, but the ones that do require either IT, CompSci or Maths
