UAL Sketch house halls (pls help!)

Hi! I got an offer from csm and i just apply for sketch house halls. But, I heard and saw many reviews about finsbury park neighborhood that it’s quite dangerous. As someone who’s never been there before ( international student ) I’m quite worried that if i have to work pretty late ( maybe around 8pm in the night ) is it safe to walking from tube to the halls? I would love to hear some experiences from ppl who’ve lived there as well ! If it not safe do u have any recommendations?? ( Emily bowes or wigram house ) Thankyou so so much!!

hi ) i definitely do think its easy to socialize but i'm pretty sure you're roomed w people from similar majors/unis so i don't know if you'd be roomed w any fashion students if ur degree isn't related. i wouldn't worry too much though! most people are super excited to make friends in the beginning of the year + there's a bunch of fashion events for ual students during freshers so i'm sure many would invite u if ur into that! i know a couple ppl (ual) who r moving into ebc this sept for first yr and they're just as nervous lol

I’ve lived here for a year and I can say the area is safe. From the tube to the halls it’s a small walking distance and after 8pm there’s nothing to worry about as long as you’re street smart about it (as you should for the entirety of London). I’ve been walking alone around the area (as a female too) during the weekends and fridays when out and about at 3-4 AM from the tube till the halls and nothing happened nor I felt unsafe. At first, depends on where you’re coming from, the area can seem a bit ‘dirty’ and sketchy but it’s an overall safe area and there’s plenty of pubs, shops around so it’s always busy. It will be a bit weird ar first but you will get used to it.

hello! current ba student living at sketch house. the area can be a bit dodgy at night but there's an exit to the tube station a minute away from sketch house making it safe enough to go home at late. i often work closing shifts, coming home by tube around 9:30pm/10pm. during the day, it is pretty safe to go get the tube anywhere from finsbury park station.

hi, currently living at sketch house. they have a room with a few washers/dryers using circuit laundry. i've lived in both premium and standard rooms and the conditions of the rooms themselves have been good. depending on the layout, standard rooms can feel a bit claustrophobic. the bed size is nice and comfortable. the bathroom has an automatic light/fan and a lot of space near the sink to store toiletries/cosmetics. the sinks and showers are a bit small. the desk space is nice and there is a lot of space to store supplies & books.

Hi there- I have lived in the area all my life and Finsbury Park is a really fun vibrant place to live - lots of students and young people- the halls are a 1 min walk from the tube- London is a big city and there are good and bad places everywhere.
