Rhul vs QM vs Surrey for psychology

Hi I’m deciding between three unis.
Does anyone have ideas on which is better for education and life. I live in london so going to Surrey or rhul will defo be harder but in league tables they’re better and I personally preferred both compared to qm on the open days. Also for money rhul has london money while Surrey has 10,000 so I think that might make my life a bit harder but I’m not sure how the cost of living there is. I’d greatly appreciate advice!!

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out! It's great to hear that you're considering Surrey for your psychology studies. Each university has its own unique strengths, and it's important to find the best fit for your educational and personal needs.

At Surrey, we offer a highly regarded psychology programme with excellent research opportunities and a supportive academic environment. We have different groups depending on your interests and a VR lab. I've used EEG for projects and am a member of the Social Brain and Development Lab (http://kcohenkadosh.com/sbdlab) focusing on gut-brain axis.

We aren't currently under the London grant but have a fantastic money team who can support you: https://www.surrey.ac.uk/fees-and-funding/managing-your-money/support

We also have scholarships and bursaries here: https://www.surrey.ac.uk/fees-and-funding/scholarships-and-bursaries

However, I encourage you to visit each campus in person if possible and reach out to academics. Open days are a great way to get a feel for the environment and ask any specific questions you might have about the courses and student life.

We have an open day video here which may be of interest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d6825YgHIs

Ultimately, choosing a university is a personal decision, and it's important to consider where you feel you will thrive both academically and socially. Best of luck with your decision-making process, and feel free to reach out if you have any more questions about Surrey!
