Student accommodation at Newcastle University

I've selected Newcastle as my insurance choice and they only let you apply for accommodation if their your firm. Is there somewhere else I'm meant to apply?

What was your first choice? There is nowhere else you can apply. Why are you applying for accommodation to your second choice and not for accommodation to your first choice? Is this a hint that you think you won’t get into your first choice?
Just wondered that’s all. If everyone applied for accommodation to both their first and second choice then there would definitely be no accommodations left especially those who submit their ucas application after the Jan deadline and they get eg unconditional offer and they find all accommodations are booked up because of people booking accommodation for both their first and second choice, which could end up with them paying more than needed in terms of rent + bills in private rentals

My first choice is Liverpool and I've already applied for accommodation there. My question is if i don't get in there how will I get accommodation at my insurance?

There is NOTHING you can do until your results come out. The only thing you can do is revise and do well in your exams to get those grades Liverpool wants you to have. If you don’t get into Liverpool you won’t know the results until August when the results come out and only then can you apply for accommodations at Newcastle and that’s only IF you don’t get into Liverpool so you cannot apply for accommodations in Newcastle.
The fact you’re thinking of applying g for accommodation in Newcastle makes me think you know you won’t get the grades to get into Liverpool. So if you are that worried the only think you can do is apply for private accommodation in Newcastle but Newcastle isn’t going to allow you to apply for their halls of accommodation until August when you hear whether you got into Liverpool or not
