UCAS Extra after firming/insuring

I've firmed and insured but want to go to a different university through UCAS Extra, I've checked with the uni I want to go to that they have places for my course and they do and are happy for me to apply via Extra, so what should I do next? How do I turn down my firm and insurance? Do I have to withdraw my whole application and if so, will I have to do a whole new personal statement and application for Extra? Thank you x

If you made your choices more than 14 days ago you’ll need to call UCAS to change your replies to Declines and make yourself eligible for Extra. You’ll be submitting the same application, if your Extra choices needs a new PS they’ll tell you.

Important: Don’t ask to ‘withdraw’ anything. In UCAS terminology that means to remove yourself from the entire application cycle. Tell them you want to decline your choices so you can use Extra.
