My gcse diary

Today is Tuesday the 7th May 2024. Tomorrow is my Arabic speaking exam. On wednesday I will sit my first official GCSE written exam. I'm so nervous because I'm trying to get some really good grades, but honestly, I don't know if I can do it, with my smart friends being way ahead of me in terms of revision, and strong uncertainty regarding subjects like English for me... ANYWAYS, THESE ARE MY SUBJECTS

AQA Biology GCSE
AQA Chemistry GCSE
AQA Physics GCSE
Edexcel Mathematics GCSE

a lot of subjects... 12 GCSEs in total

Thursday is my RE exam, but honestly RE PAPER 1 is easy so ngl i think thats alright. buttttt friday is biology and sociology paper 1... I just hope they arent hard thats all!!!! I just wanna get GOOD OKAY but like realllyyyy goodddddd

Hi i’m in year 10 but i am doing four of my gcses this year. I’ve done my Arabic speaking exam and i can tell you that it really isn’t that bad. Just make sure you thoroughly know your presentation and speaking questions because that’s where you can bank in most of your marks. Make sure you know vocab for all the themes so you can be prepared for any photo card / roleplay card you get. Make sure you also know how to ask a question in the roleplay card. Please don’t stress out too much because you’ll end up overthinking it. The best you can do is give it all you got and whatever happens you can’t change so there’s no need to overstress :smile:

good luck!! Im also currently taking sociology and i lowkey cant wait to get it over with especially biology 🥲 also dont compare urself to ur smart friends! Just because theyre ahead of revision doesnt mean u cant succeed as well !! Also im having a rlly hard time revising for religion for this week so if u have any advice pls lmk ☺️💗

advise for religion si make flashcards summarising everything, blurt blurt BLURT!!! and MAKE A PAGE OF QUOTES!!!

tomorrow is my re paper 1!! SPEAKING EXAM GOT DELAYED TILL NEXT WEEK but im kindof happy it qwill be more stressful but at least i get more time11

Heyyy I’m also doing GCSE Edexcel Arabic (I’m in year 10). I actually had my speaking exam on the 8th of May too. Anyways, I just wanted to say that I understand things can be overwhelming, escpecially when everyone around you seems prepared and organised. But don’t worry! Just try your level best and enter the exam room knowing that you did everything in your power to get the top grades. The rest is fate’s decision. Wishing you the best of luck. :smile:

hey girl, I've got biology tmrw as well, I feel underprepared even tho iv'e revised, which isnt a great feeling.. I also do triple science so I am slightly scared at the fact the questions will be harder. but i don't want to do science A levels and I am predicted 9s in other subjects so honestly ill be happy with a 7, maybe a 6 if worse comes to worst

hi did you sit ARABIC reading and writing today? I did. How did you find it? I felt like they made the paper a bit harder than last year...especially the last few questions at the back for the reading paper.

I know this isn’t for me but reading was absolutely rubbish. I didn’t even finish question 9 and i felt like giving up mid through the paper.

i did and honestly that last question was so bad i waffled bruh i didnt understand ANYTHINGGG the listening WHY DID THEY PUT THE ALL ARABIC SECTION AT THE BEGINNING?? the second all arabic question i was SO CONFUSED because i literally didnt understand the options until AFTER the guy already SPOKE TWICE i just wish they did it thrice it would make my life so much more easier

gcse arabic? That's such a cool gcse but must be so difficult.. are u a native speaker? I am a native russian speaker so my school, although they don't teach classes for it, let me take Russian gcse in Year 9 , which I got a 9 for. How are your exams?
