Adult nursing at the University of Bradford

Hi i have been offered a place on the adult nursing course at Bradford to start in September 24

I have my heart set on doing the mid yorks course that starts in April 25. They haven’t given me a date for this interview yet and im worried about delaying my response to the other offer - does anyone know when the mid yorks interviews are held?

Also any advice appreciated about the difference between the two courses. I am a mature student with 2 children and financial commitments so would need to work the odd shift to pay the bills.

Can anyone give an example of their timetables? It’s important to be around for my children too

- sorry for the long post!

Thank you

It is best to email the unis and ask for a copy of this year's timetable so that you know what you are facing. There shouldn't be any difference between the two courses in terms of content if they are NMC approved courses.

Don't feel that you have to rush into a decision. If you applied by 31 January and receive your last decision on or before 16 May 2024, your reply date is 6 June 2024. If you applied later and receive your last decision on or before 17 July 2024, your reply date is 24 July 2024.

Hey, :wavey:

Many students have to work a part time job around their university degree especially mature students and this is achievable.

However, as a healthcare student this can be a little more tricky because of placements.

Many universities offer flexible part time work for students which is great option.

For example, at Canterbury Christ Church University we offer a role as a student ambassador where you can work at events such as open days. I know many other universities offer the role as a student ambassador. The pay is typically well paid and is very flexible and you can pick and choose when you want to work.

As mentioned above, email the universities and ask for a typical timetable so you can plan ahead.

I hope this helps!
