Quick nat 5 sqa exam question ‼️

This goes for any subject, but for example i did today in my english exam. The question would be “state 6 points” and i put down 8. If i put more than what is required will marks be deducted if one isn’t correct? say for instance for the 6 marker, 6/8 of my points were correct would i still get full marks?

Hi, I think the marking varies for different subjects, eg music would give you the marks even if you put down multiple wrong answers but in maths, if you put down multiple answers they would give you the marks based on your worst answer. I'd recommend just crossing out any answers that are wrong. Good luck with your exams!

I think that in an English exam you would still receive the marks but I have no clue about Spanish since I haven't taken it. Sorry I can't help 😔

Yes, yiu would get your 6 marks, as long as you have 6 correct answers, you are ok. I am a former SQA RUAE marker and teacher.

This is abit as the Spanish exam has passed but from my understanding they mark positivity so if you right 8 points for a 6 marker and 2 of them are wrong you will still be given 6 points.

I know that in business management and geography, if you do that you will still get full marks, I’m sure English is the same if I remember correctly from last year.

as far as i am aware, its positive marking so 1 mark for each valid point you make and no 'negative' marks, so you'd get the points for any valid points you make x

You can put extra answers in for Spanish, as long as they don't contradict each other
