Are the all the rooms in the Talybont accommodations already full?

For people that will be first years next year, have the rooms in all the Talybont accomodations filled up. And if they haven't, do you know roughly when the rooms are normally fully booked? I don't know because I don't have Cardiff as my first choice so can't check.

None of the accomodation is full yet, as they haven't started allocating it. As you will see on this page:

"Your application is processed in date order, according to two dates:
the first is the date we receive confirmation from Admissions of your unconditional offer to study
the second is the date of receipt of your application"

Very few applicants will have an unconditional offer (which is what's mentioned above) until results day when they (hopefully) meet the conditions of their offer and it becomes unconditional.

You will also note that the same page says that Sunday 30 June 2024 is:

"...the deadline for applications to study made through the normal UCAS admissions cycle. If you have applied after this date, accommodation will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis."

This clearly indicates that applications prior to that date are not allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you have Cardiff as your insurance choice, I suggest you read what that page says about insurance applicants.

Hi there,

Cardiff was also my insurance choice and Taly North was my first choice but it was full. I think I was allocated my 4th choice in the end but it worked out great. However, I'm sure that it's different every year.

I hope that helps!

All the best,
