Does anyone have any idea what the 20 marker will be on? i know synthisis, reverb, sampling, and recording techniques have all come up before. I have a feeling it will be on delay ??

Honestly I struggle too. I literally use the revision guides and go through some past papers. It’s literally an impossible subject to revise for cause even the past papers are hard to get ahold of. I find that going through the specification and seeing the exact topic areas they would test you on helps to organise revision :smile:

same its literally my worst subject (and im doing it in uni) I love music tech sm but hate the a level, theres barely any resources to help, barely anyone does it so its so hard to find anything. idk what else to do for Thursday except for like go through the diff eras and go through the possible 20marker content

Yh me too as in I’m doing music production in uni and I was soooo scared after the alevel that I wouldn’t be able to do it. Like it’s been such a stressful subject and my teacher was not useful making even coursework was sooo stressful.

i thought reverb too. literally so scared, got a D in my mocks cos this subject is so hard, and i need a B to get into uni

Ikr?? I was hoping for synthesis or something.... I quite enjoyed that 15 marker to be fair, felt pretty similar to the past papers

i found q3 a bit dodgy, but other than that i enjoyed the paper! i actually predicted delay might pop up on the 20 marker since it hadnt shown up before this year, so i've been over the moon about that. but overall, imo this felt like a nice paper in comparison to some of the past years

I hated it except for the 15 marker, cooked in that one. but even the wording of the other q's were weird? like "what effect except for eq, reverb, compression" and delay question I didn't write much :frown:

i thought the 20 marker was tricky, and i hadn't a clue on the two questions about file size and bit rate/mono-stereo/sample rate but at least that was only 2 marks

Definitely flopped half of it icl 😭😭I always sucked at paper 4 bc u can barely revise it

Some of the questions were very dodgy for the practical side, and the 20 marker was tricky. It could've been worse, could've been a lot better imo
