i thought so many of the short answer questions were so harsh but the 15mark for festival's and 8 for hercules was a blessing

i did the women in ancient world paper. we got a legend 15 mark question and it was the most easiest 15 marker ever but i ran out of time. i blame the people who were running it because i could only see one of the times which were 3:16, and i based my timings off that. pray that i at least get some marks from the paragraph i wrote!

I did that paper too! I did the comparison on which myth/legend women figure were better examples! :smile:

we had another exam that was 1h 40 minutes but from where i was sitting, i thought it ended at 3:16 but it was actually 3:06. so i didnt finish my 15 marker it was my fault ngl actually.

what did everyone write feor the 8 marker on mars. which other gods did you mentiion to go against the poiint. i put vesta because the fire of vesta and venus because she was the mum of aeneas

i wrote about venus too!! i also said how some romans had like household gods they prefered

idk if it’s right butttt i wrote that he used a sword from ariadne, used string from her and then my last point was that he was like brave and killed him like a hero such waffle from me

This test went reallllllyyyyyy bad, like for the Homeric hymn to Demeter. I kid you not, I made up information about how Hermes was venerated by slaves. my teacher was off for like 2-3 months because of some health problems so we had a bunch of clueless supplies and he said if you don't understand anything, just leave it and we will come back to it later. We didn't and now I feel like I have actually screwed myself over.

The short mark questions i can remember were on Amazons, Thesmophoria, Catiline conspiracy, Pudicitia statue. Then the two eight markers were 'Hetairas were always seen as scandalous in Athenian society' and 'A roman marriage between a man and woman could be romantic' then the fifteen marker was either on athenian and spartan men caring more about their women then roman men i think? and the other one was how far do you agree that woman from roman myth and legend provided better examples of good behaviour to women than the greek myths and legends did!

i forgot to do a counter point i just said i agree cause of him being father of romulus and remus, the camptius martias and the roman empire acquiring the empire by war. would i have been marked down significantly if i didn’t mention another god?

i said the same thing about Vesta/Hestia !! ur point on Venus sounds rlly good aswell, didnt even think of that. i said that he was the father of Romulus and Remus so without him, Rome wouldnt be how it is today?? I also said hes the god of war using the source, and how Roman culture is really revolved around war so they wouldve appreciated him because of it.

omg same!! the 15 marker was so good but i think a lot of people ran out of time?? i usually don't write much for 15 markers so i decided to skip that middle section with the two 6 markers and i only had around 15 minutes to do those so i rushed.. and i didn't properly revise the women to be feared topic so i missed a few questions 😔 relying on the big questions this time..

i didn't know the answer to that, but i was talking about it w my friends and they said one of the answers was how they sacrificed pigs? (like when they threw them into a pit or something i don't really remember). i literally blanked out at that point i literally said they worshipped nature and animals are nature 😨 the source said something about nature and the earth but i doubt I'll get any marks on that one
