tiryns was so hard, i couldnt remeber what else the galleries were used for apart from storage and said they killed people from above in the last question so is said it was a lookout which was so stupid of me. Also the 3 points on how is defensive i wrote its on a hill, but thats myceane i still hope it on a hill

What did everyone think of Homeric World? I thought the 15 markers were good but the opening page on Tiryns was a bit 🫣

nearly had a heart attack when i opened the paper lol but all of the 8 markers and 15 markers were sooo good especially the 8 mark polyphemus

yh is just me or has anyone else never studied tiryns’s killing boxes?!
it’s not in the textbook and my teacher never mentioned it, although i’ve been told the other classics class in my school knew about it

mine was rlly rushed in 15 mins i did 2.25 pages
i said it was hard cuz they couldnt get political power cuz they couldnt be senators or equites
counterarguement, could become financially successful like tyche + husband and be priests like augustales and client patron relation ships, brielfy mentioned tiro and circo as well

I wrote the same amount as you! I also talked about the fact that they couldn’t run for public office and also used Tyche as a counter argument! But I also talked about the fact that some gladiators and charioteers were freedmen and they were able to become successful by building loyal fan bases who supported them. But as a counter argument I said that women were less likely, If ever, to enter these fields so it was harder for freedwomen to become successful. I also talked about how having a good relationship with your ex master, like Zosimus and Pliny, was beneficial in becoming successful because they could provide you with the support that you need to start your life as a free person.

the only source i used was tyche so im cooked, using pliny as zosimus was v smart icl
lowkey think i get a 7 which is kinda **** but maybe i scrape an 8
at the end of the day not that deep because my A levels are all maths based and im still cooking in history and english trust

Did anyone do warfare and notice how little space they gave for the eight markers like it was literally half a page 😭 I'm so worried though I don't think i wrote enough for them at all the lack of space just threw me off
