The Ucat website question bank is notoriously harder than the real exam. Medify and medentry are much better and more realistic
what is everyone initially scoring. ive done three medify dm mocks and ive averaged about 580 and im so overwhelmed on how i am meant to improove

last year I found medentry more helpful, medify VR passages were too short but both sites were pretty much the same with other sections. I also found my medentry average was higher AND more accurate to my real score, medify undershot by ~200 points on average so medentry is better for confidence too

you have plenty of time to improve so don't worry, I started out getting like 2300 for overall score when I first started prep (I got like 350 in QR in my first mock haha, 720 in real thing) and scored 2960 irl. You're starting to prepare at a good time and 580 is a pretty solid score to start on.
Go through question banks first (untimed) so you can practice the questions and get to grips with them without the pressure of having limited time. Save the mocks til later since there is a limited number it's wise to not waste them all straight away

awh thank you so much for the advice, do you have any general tips for the exam eg guessing a specific answer and how did you improve so much is it just gradual with practice or did you change something that made it just instantly boost. also what resource is best/most representative of the exam currently got medify but thinking of maybe buying med entry or just using pass med or ucat ninja ?

Hi everyone! Do you recommend booking the UCAT as early as tomorrow 6am? Since I know it’s known to fill up fast.

i think the most important thing is learning to use the keyboard shortcuts rather than mouse as it saves so much time, also practice and you will see a gradual improvement  skip and flag longer/more difficult questions and come back to them at the end as every question is worth the same mark
personally last year i found medentry best (better for VR, pretty much the same as medify for the rest of them) it’s way more representative of final score, many people last year including me said their medify average was ~200 points lower than their actual score. but medify is a brilliant source too!

it’s not necessary to book it that early if you don’t want to, but i’d definitely recommend booking in the first day. if you want to make sure you get a certain date then maybe book early, but if you’re not too picky with dates then it’s okay to do it a bit later

Does anyone know how to go from a 2500/2600 to a 3000? I’m planning to book early September just before school starts, I haven’t been so good in preparation and I know my scores will probably drop from this. So far I’ve done only a few mocks. 2680,2440,2570,2710,2500. Please can someone advise me how I can improve my scores drastically?. I’m worried I won’t be able to get there in time and I’ve been using medentry. I’m so stuck with timing and my QR isn’t consistent at all, it’s always 650-710. I want it to be solid and my AR keeps on being marked rly low even when I’m averaging 30+/50. Does anyone have any tips for VR? I’m so stuck and keep scoring 620-690 but averaging 630. Also I’m so stuck with DM. I keep scoring 520-620 and I don’t know how I can push it 700+.
Im struggling with QR a lot especially with multi step calcs

Was the QR rly hard? I feel like it’s quite hard compared to what I’ve gotten on medentry I’m worried.
