I'm doing my Art GCSE mock soon and want to achieve a 9

I have one question about my final piece
I want to paint my own version of the album cover of Jacob Collier's Djesse volume 2 as it is a really beautiful piece of art, with repetitive marks as repetition is the theme. I've done an artist study on Van Gogh recently and would love to do something similar to his style as well.
Will I achieve more marks if I use my own photo than a photo off of the internet done in my own style?
Also I'd love some tips on where to go if I want to achieve a grade 9 as I'm still doing coursework and can adapt my work to cater to examiners.

Is it really that hard? I think it's the only subject it's possible for me. Art has been my passion my whole life and if I try hard enough I might.

i think it is possible you can get a 9, it is better to use your own photo and try to include aspects of the artists work into the piece as well as your own interpretations, also make sure to refine all of your techniques and show a clear journey of how you have reached each outcome in your book
