Durham College allocation

I filled out my top 5 choices for colleges at Durham. St Mary’s was my top choice, and a few other colleges I had picked on the list however I got randomly allocated to Van Mildert (didn’t spur that on the top 5), now I am really trying to change and have emailed Durham college department and they have said not emailed st Mary’s to ask about waiting list they said no. What can I do? I really want to go to St Mary.

I doubt there will be anything you can do, I believe they won’t change them unless you have a very specific need that can’t be accommodated (medical).

If you don't manage to get your college changed now, I wouldn't worry too much as post-results day they reallocate college places so you still have a small chance at St Mary's. Either way I wouldn't let not getting the college you want deter you tho, if Durham is where you want to study you'll enjoy any college!

Its really annoying, they said a day or 2 after the decisions close but they havent communicated anything. I want to know my college so I know wether I'm insuring it or not

Do remember if you are insuring Durham you have a higher chance of being reallocated in October. The priority for not reallocating is listed here:

Last year a number of students who were category 1 were still reallocated in August.
