Book smart

To put it bluntly, I'm book smart. That's pretty much it. I know some in depth knowledge about subjects outside of school etc so I'm not exactly study oriented but still I have 0 Street smarts. I can do stuff if I get taught it and I remember things that people tell me so I'm not stupid but I guess I'm just so used to people telling me what to do; I don't think for myself that much. I was just wondering if there's a way for me to become a little less dense.
All advice appreciated.

Hey there! I'm not really sure if this counts as advice or not, but I am kind of similar to you. I've been a nerd my whole life, and never really learned how to be good at other things. I then moved away from home, to study abroad, and had to manage everything on my own. While I'm not earning currently, I have learned how to manage my finances well, how to live alone (was quite scary at first), and while I'm not the most ongoing person and suffer from social anxiety most of the time, I did manage to make friends (and also prevented a friend from getting scammed). So, while it may seem like you know nothing at the moment, when the time comes, you will. Most of us are just going through life pretending we know stuff, when in reality, we're all quite clueless. I know this doesn't count as advice, but hope this helps. Please be kinder to yourself, it's your first time living life!
