Who are these fiends who set the reading passages in A level Spanish?

You will probably think that "TV in Latin America" would be the whole continent - not so (if someone from Edexcel is reading this). Why don't you stop selecting these ridiculous passages about chavs on Mexican TV, wrapping them up in questions which are not directly linked to the text (really? debates and advertising, how exciting!) and stop thinking that the whole of Lat Am (and I suppose the USA) can be the catch-all territory of your stupid questions, people. This is why we are staying away from choosing Spanish at A level (don't at-me, yes German is doing far worse but nobody reads rubbish like this). And like-wise "the woman" in Latin America" (with that dreadful idiotic novel that they are still peddling each June for the last decade and more, Como Agua para Chocolate). Who writes these questions?
