SFE long course loan

I have applied for minimum maintenance loan from Student Finance England, my parents are above the threshold for earnings, I have had £4767 min payment confirmed in a letter. My course is 45 weeks long and anything relating to the long course loan says it’s means tested household income - does that mean I won’t be entitled to anything for a long course element?

Hi there,

If your applications isn't assessed on the household income then you won't receive the long course loan.

Thanks,

Yes, once your parents provide their details we can income assess your application.

I didn’t request anything more than the minimum and have had my letter to confirm minimum - can I edit my application and request additional, not sure how it works?

You would complete the Include Household Income Form found here https://media.slc.co.uk/sfe/2425/ft/sfe_nmt_to_mt_form_2425_o.pdf and your parents would complete the PFF2 Form found here https://media.slc.co.uk/sfe/2425/ft/sfe_pff2_form_2425_o.pdf

You can upload these online in your account under the evidence upload option. This link shows you how here https://youtu.be/rOMx_EG5JWk

Thanks,
