Hi there, I wanted to find out if I can get a full funding for my postgraduate course in social work. The course duration is 1 year 9 months.

Hi there, I am French and have a settled status in the UK. My course will start in September 2024. I have a degree in Public health and community studies which was funded by SFE for a duration of 3 years.

Hi there. Yes, you can apply for the Postgraduate Masters Loan. You can find more information on what you will get here: https://www.gov.uk/masters-loan/what-youll-get

Please note, if you are entitled to a social work bursary you would not be eligible for the masters loan. Thanks, Leah.

Hi Leah, thanks for answering me. The duration for my course is 1 year 9 months. Would I get a tuition fee that covers the whole period? The fee is 10000 per year.

For the 24/25 the Postgraduate Loan is up to £12,471 over the length of the course

As it is a contribution towards costs we cannot guarantee that it will cover the cost of your tuition fees

Hi Calum,
If I am getting you right ,24/25 is up to £ 12,471. Okay since my course will end in 2026, does that mean I can also apply for 2025/2026?

Hi there, yes that would be the amount for 24/25. If it's a 2 year course beginning in September 2024 that amount will be spread over 2 years. Thanks, Jason
