Am I too late for accommodation at Nottingham now?

No, there isn't a shortage of accomodation at Nottingham. My daughter switched her room type in June last year, there wasn't any issue with availability with the new room type she wanted. It will depend on what room you want of course.

There is plenty of accom available at UoN. Don't panic. You may not get your first choice, but plenty of options available.

Hi @helen ryman !

You're definitely not late at all! Applications for accommodation are already open and there are plenty of catered and self-catered options for accommodation on campus and around campus. While some of the more popular accommodation options may have started to fill up, there are a lot of options available, so while you may not get your first choice, there are a lot of halls of residence to choose from!

I would recommend starting off by deciding if you would prefer self-catered or catered accommodation and then you can decide what other factors would be important to you, including ensuite or shared bathrooms, distance from where you have most of your timetabled sessions, cost etc.

Here is the link to the University's official accommodation page: https://www.nottingham.ac.uk/student-living/accommodation/index.aspx . There is a lot of information on there that you might find useful and it lets you filter by various options to see what accommodation would be suitable for you, and they have a guide on how to apply for accommodation.

I hope that helps and feel free to ask us any more questions about accommodation or more general questions on student life at Nottingham!

All the best,
Aashlesha
