Have you discussed the merits of your course with him thoroughly and explained that this is how you’ll achieve a good career in the future? Southampton is a really good uni and your course will set you up well for a career in healthcare! I don’t know which things your dad is particularly concerned about that is making him hesitate on the idea, but it might help to focus on this side of things?

ive told him how its literally one of the top universities in the uk for nursing, and because im from london, i want to explore how other places kind of operate in a way? plus its such a good opportunity that i’d HATE to pass on :frown:( i guess i could try that, thank you. such a shame i kinda have to hurry up since the dead line for student finance is close !!

What is you dad's concern about you moving out? Southampton is 1 hour 19 minutes away from London by train so either you or your parents can visit any time if needed (it's less than my commute to work, fwiw)
