Migraine during exam

Sometimes I get really bad migraines where I lose half of my vision. What would happen if I got one during an exam? I’ve got GCSEs over the coming weeks and was just wondering

that's quite severe and you should consult a doctor about it, if it is considered a serious enough issue, you could make the invilgiator aware during the exam and something could be done about it hopefully if it is something that is officially a problem and you've made your school or exam centre aware . But i would first speak to a doctor about preventing these first, and then making sure you arent increasing the chances by doing things like not getting enough sleep, being dehydrated, not having a proper meal before exams etc. Make sure you are not staying up late, get a solid 8hours and drink enough water, eat a good meal shortly before that isnt heavy so it wont make you crash, a good example is porridge with yoghurt and or fruit etc

Hi, fellow migraine sufferer here! What you're gonna want to do is get a letter from your doctor affirming your migraines (you might have to pay for this if you need it ASAP), inform your school, and the letter can be sent to the exam board should you get a migraine on an exam day. It's up to you whether you still want to sit the exam with a migraine, but if you choose to or choose not to, the exam board will take your migraines into consideration. I was told if I had a migraine and had to miss an exam they would apply a score to my missed paper based on the other papers I'd sat for the subject. If you choose to sit the exam, my best bet it that they'll add on a percentage of marks based on what they think you'd have gotten based on other exam marks. Hope this helped, and I'm happy to answer any more questons .
