q1: food web (4 marks; 2MCQs, drawing food chain), substances absorbed from the blood (4 marks), transfers pathogens (2marks), calculating magnification (2 marks), q2: effect of changing light intensity on pondweed's rate of photosynthesis, q3: fill in the blanks for yoghurt production, q4: respirometer, q5: greenhouse gases, greenhouse gas effect, calculatingpercentage of emissions by energy production, commenting on results, q6: flower, sexual vs asexual reproduction, artificial andnatural in plants, q7: woman with 4.3 litres of blood calculation (3 marks), percentage difference inmass of haemoglobin calculation (2 marks), comment on results (5 marks), three differences between WBCs and RBCs structure(3 marks), , q8: cystic fibrosis, q9: different solutions of mineral ions, q10: designing experiment for the co2concentration for maximum crop yield
Private bio tutor here! I hope you all aced the exam! Could I ask you all to give me a run down of what each of the questions were today? I don't expect one person to know them all, but hopefully together we can figure it out.
Thanks
Mandy

Fantastic! Thank you
for the question where we had to draw the line graph, mine didn't start at 0. there was no line from 0-2 if you get what I mean - it started at 2 and then went down. is that fine?
do u think grade boundaries will be higher than last year? 141/180 last year = 9, do u think it will go up a lot
does anyone know the answer to the CORMSS q at the end?
what did everyone put for the substances in blood question

glucose & amino acids

I put plasma and red blood cells

I think those are components within the blood not substances... not too sure

was that question asking for the function of these substances for the tick?

no j in general. like amino acids make proteins and glucose is needed for aerobic respiration. that's what I said. I don't think you can talk about red or white blood cells for that question because they aren't transferred from human blood to the ticks. rather they are components within the blood.
