Anyone need advice for GCSEs this year?

For the English exam, watch mr salles videos on creative writing. Use similes, metaphors, as much descriptive language as you can. You don't need a good story. You only need to draw the examiner in by giving them lots of language devices that work together. Regarding Qs 2-4, try and think like a psychoanalysist lol. If there are people of different genders and there is different use of language for each person, talk about that. I wrote a few posts somewhere on this thread with an example sentence about a twisted branch. Don't just say 'the writer says it is twisted to nake the garden unwelcoming' say 'the writer employs effective use of adjectives such as twisted to imply that the branch has a personality of its own, commanding the garden etc etc'. Ngl, I made a LOT of the pschological stuff up. As long as you identify features of language, and link it somehow to something deeper, you will be ok.
