CPR and gift Year

I have used my gift year during my first year due to Study Break for personal reasons then I had to repeat two modules from second year which I've passed but SFE stopped my payment for them two modules. Will CPR help? I didn't know about CPR before!

Hi there, if you've had to suspend or withdraw due to reasons outwith your control then yes, you can apply for this. If you send the evidence along with your cover letter (confirming why you couldn't continue and when this took place), it will go to be reviewed for you. Thanks, Jason

Hi Jason I have applied but recently. I have wrote three letters of CPR- my last letter included more information and evidence. I have submitted evidence. The thing is SFE miscalculated my fee as a placement year during 2023/2024 so when I contacted, they told me I don't need to do anything else therefore I carried on studying and passed my retake modules, however my university contacted me and I went back to SFE who told me about CPR. I'M WORRIED NOW because what if SFE rejects my CPR only because I have submitted it late and didn't know about it!

Hi there, this will still be reviewed and you'll be notified once this is completed to confirm if it's been accepted. Thanks, Jason

Hi there,

You can apply for CPR for any year that was a repeat. You can also use CPR if you withdrew from a previous course without completing it.

Thanks, Graeme

So, I enrolled on my first year and left it half away due to family members death then completed rest modules from that year the next academic year. But then my health issues affected on my studies in second year but then I completed second year and passed it. However I didn't know what CPR is so SFE blocked my payments. Can CPR unblock my payments for my second year which I've passed? I'm currently wanting to enrol on my final year.

Based on what you've said, yes - this should be possible. We can't know for sure without accessing your account, but you should provide any evidence as soon as you can.

Just to let you know, we're currently processing this kind of evidence in 10 working days, so it won't take long to hear back.

Thanks, Graeme
