Can someone make some estimates for the grade boundary for biology triple 2024🙏

It was so easy so I’m scared it’s hard to get a 8 or 9 :frown:
You can't really make predictions, especially as you have not even done the second paper yet

Grade boundaries rely completely on how everyone does on the exams so unless you look at the mocks of every student in the country you can't really predict it unfortunately

And even then mocks aren't going to be that reliable because the papers are different and people often perform differently on mocks to how they perform on the actual exam

the average mark for a 9 is usually around 65. The vast majority of people on here and on reddit found it ridiculously easy so I'm guessing around 70 for paper 1  Don't stress just yet; there's always paper 2!

Grade boundaries are usually around 145/200 - 165/200 for a 9. We still haven’t had paper 2 (which could be very difficult) so I recon if paper 2 is hard then the grade boundaries for a 9 would be around 155/200 but if everyone finds it’s easy then around 165/200.

I do not think grade boundaries would go so high, you are saying around 82% for biology? There are loads of people who have messed up this paper or found it hard aswell. The grade boundaries would not shoot up for biology from like 66% to 82%.

Oh good because my brain was saying to me that the grade boundaries would be like 90 marks on each paper 😭😭😭 and I thought I would have to get 100% on paper 2 to get a 9 cus I lost like 10-15 marks on paper 1

The boundaries for a 9 will be 84-85 in the worst of cases, after the creation of the new spec the boundaries have never gone past 83 for a 9.

It will not go that high, even my biology teacher told us! It will probably stay at 66%, or could go up to 70 🙂

you must be talking about aqa, edexcel boundaries at usually 77-83%
There’s no way to predict grade boundaries so it’s pointless trying to predict them in my opinion.
