Guys what are your predictions. All the predicted stuff is just for AQA on youtube. It kinda makes me angry that our school chose to do eduqas. Like we have less time, more essays and AQA actually gives choice between two questions for the same book!. Any predictions would be good. I do R+J Christmas carol and Inspector calls.

What themes and characters should I be learning? How many quotes do I need to answer a grade 9 essay?

i did valentine

Macbeth essay question was so wierd but also kinda good at the same time?
wasn't it sympathy

I had 3 mins left so i looked at other q's. They took that one from romeo and juliet in 2020. We had same q. Im curious how you compared valentine tho?

u talk about the relationship in valentine as fleeting and coming to an end. ultimately duffy isnt promoting long term relationship -- quotes "lethal" "knife" "for as long as we are"

and other paragraph u say how both poems are quite unconventional for love poems

and then i talked about structure as a similarity

I compared to Ozymandias. I talked about how both talk about the brokenness of relationships. In Ozymandias the broken relationship between nature and man, and in Manhunt between husband and wife. The Macbeth question was really weird but at least we could choose which character we wanted to write about.

yeah macbeth was which character do u think deserves the most sympathy, it was good cuz u could talk about any character though but kinda wierd cuz ive never seen a question like that before lol and it threw me off

i said manhunt more hesitant w love - enjambment, rep of 'only then' etc.. but valentine is more forceful - imperatives of 'take it' 'fierce love etc
then i talked about how manhunt shows healing relationship after war? like sort of positive love but valentine shows negative aspects of love. - how it can hurt you 'blind you with tears'
also talked about a little about titles kinda similar as it makes u expect diff things , manhunt= military term makes u expect war poem but it mainly focuses on build up/break down of relationship + valentine makes u expect a traditional poem
also the ending how they have diff tones
structure as similarity- both enjambment + also diff as manhunt has traditional elements as rhyming couplets

howd u compare to cozy?

I compared to The Prelude for the relationship with nature
