Why were the questions worded like that and the lara croft questions???

me and my friends are arguing about the fact that they put superimposition on the paper when it isn’t even in the subject specific terminology page from the AQA site

no same, it would have been alright with kk Hollywood as well. I just abt managed 4 awful paragraphs.

I said that some video games care about profit because they have in-app purchases and cost a lot to play. Then I said Lara Croft Go cares more about the accessibility of their game to a wider audience because people can access the games on their mobile and there's no in-app purchases. I also started talking about how they tried to focus on representing Lara Croft to appeal to a female audience and said they cared more about that than profit 😭

that actually sounds good tbh, i have no clue just worry about how video games include unnecessary violence and sexual content and that they don’t care about how it affects people’s behaviour only the profit that comes from it. And then for lara croft i said they create high male expectations towards females by sexualising Lara Croft within her body and the clothes she wears so that they can bring in more male audiences to gain profit. Didn’t really know what to do about the social and historical context thing but i just wrote about how they try and minimise their Pegi ratings even if it’s content not appropriate for children so they can broaden their audience

What on earth were those 1 markers - those arent even in the spec im p sure ?!?

Also so much on lara croft for some reason, and too much on that double spread , very poorly constructed paper imo

bro i lit made things up for lara croft. i said they released toys n had convergence but i didnt even know if they did lol. loads of people talked about profit vs building a niche gaming community n i just wrote abt gender what the hell.

Not sure school have emailed parents to say they've spoken with some teachers across the country who are also speaking with AQA... Said they will keep us updated.
