Help me make a study timetable!!! :))

Hiya! After getting my mocks back I wasn't impressed with what I got (5-6s in all of them and a 3 in french and maths.. eek-) so I wanted to make a timetable because I have exactly a year to do my gcses, and I NEED ways to revise everything.

Since all of my grades are currently at 5-6s, I'd like to boost them up to 8-9s! I'm not good at making timetables so I'm reaching out to TSR for some assistance <3

the main bits for the weekdays:

I come home from school at 4:30 pm and go to bed at 10:30 pm. I spend 1 hour of a break/dinner so I have 5 hours of doing anything.

I would like to spend 3 hours studying every weekday.
The subjects i do are french, geography, history, english, biology, chemistry, physics and maths (still taking the higher paper as I had a chat with my teacher and she said I could still do it!)

So I'd do 3 subjects each day.

the weekends:
4 hours each, so 4 subjects each day.

I am planning to make a 2 week timetable, so i can rotate subjects around each day. I hopefully will try to fit all those subjects in so that i'm spending time on each one efficiently.

Tips on how to arrange my timetable or know what subjects to not place on the same day would be great ^^ thank you for reading! <33

As someone who is currently taking GCSEs but is pretty lazy when it comes to planning, what helped me was simplicity. I just put recurring events on my google calendar for the different subjects I take for every day of the week. For me, a timetable is just a tool to prevent me from procrastinating and avoiding subjects I'm less partial to. So I'd recommend you try to include maybe at least one subject you genuinely enjoy every day. If you are a procrastinator like me, put the subjects you don't enjoy later, then that way the rest of your revision isn't bogged and delayed by it. Alternatively, if you want a reward of sorts, put your favourite subjects at the end of the day. Doesn't have to be crazy, just practical!

Thank you so much, I'll take that into account!)

I think the best thing to do is to include the subject you're worst at and your favorite subject on all your revision days. Also, try to put the subjects u do in school on a particular day that matches up eg. u have Bio, Eng Lit, Maths, Option on Monday, You need to study those topics. Its always good to review the stuff you've just learnt or gone over in school

okay so you have 8 subjects and 23 hours a week or 46 hours per two weeks so i would start off by allotting the required amount of time to each subject depending on how much you struggle with it and the amount of content - if i were you i would do at least 3 hours over two weeks on each subject though
as @Sewey786 said i would try and do the subjects you do on specific school day on the same evening
i think there might be an article on tsr about how to make a revision time table so check that out

Hi there!

When it comes to study timetables, I sometimes find them really hard to stick to so instead, I have a list of things I need to cover and I'll try and tie them in with what I learnt or went over in class that day and then this way, it tends to stick better for me!

Also, try not to fall into the trap of studying subjects you like more than the ones you find difficult! Whilst it might seem difficult at the start, it does get easier!

I hope this helps a bit and good luck in your exams!
