AQA Computer Science NEA help

i don't have too many ideas, but the one I'm thinking of doing is essentially a route-finding software, but for my school. my sixth form is quite large, and is similar to like a campus - there's lots of buildings etc and there are quite a few open days/opportunities for parents and ppl to visit. I'm new to my sixth form this year, and even after 8 months or so of being here I still don't fully know my ins and outs of my school so I was thinking if I'm not too sure, then surely parents who would be visiting for the first time could also get confused

in essence, I'm trying to build like a mini version of google maps, but just limited to my school. i'd probs make it as an app and it would help to provide the quickest path from one spot to another, provide disabled-friendly access routes etc. the only thing I'm worrying about is that google maps is quite bad when it comes to 3d locations, i.e. determining whether you're on the right floor or not as your destination, so if a multi-million corporation can't do it, then how would I be able to do it lol. or would it be best for me to leave it as only working in 2d, so just getting you to the right sort of area? or do you think that it would be possible to do it in 3d, but I would just have to sort of hard code it in and it may be easier since I'm limiting it to a specific area?

any help would be appreciated, e.g. is it too ambitious, and if so how can I simplify it? or should I look at doing a whole new idea instead
